I realize that I really like to do value/texture studies from fashion photography. Here's one that's also a drawing from a fashion photograph that I did before attending art school:
Of course, since these are drawings copied from photographs, it's not my art, but I think it was a good exercise to draw from these photographs. It helped me pay very careful attention to the textures of the cloths and look of the wrinkles. Different fabrics have different qualities, and it's educational to try to make it come across in a simple pencil drawing.
