Starting Art School - Drawing Bootcamp

I'm currently attending Ex'pression College which is a professional digital arts school with an accelerated program. It allows students to get a bachelors in 2.5 years, but for people like me who have already earned college credits, we get out even sooner (which is super scary). However, for me, I knew I was starting out late, and time is super important to me. I know people are thinking, "Ah, you are so foolish to think you can compete with people coming out of 4 year art schools," and I know... there is a disadvantage, but I took the gamble to get myself immersed in an art school, quickly get out, and work my butt off to get gigs and work my way up with personal projects and and whatever work experience I can get to compete with other artists.

I also thought about just learning stuff on my own. I love books, and yes, there's the internet, but having teachers and peers is super important. Getting critiqued is the best thing to improve yourself. Plus, being around talented peers really gets you motivated and inspired. Another big perk that I realized, was being invited as a student to go to talks and events to listen to super amazing and accomplished professionals. They're like free invaluable classes taught by legends and industry leaders! How awesome is that?

Anyway, I don't want to make it seem like I'm selling anything. I'm just very excited still to be in art school and pursuing a career that I will love and be challenged with every day. Out in 2 years? That's ok! I'll work my butt off to make my way into this industry.

Here are some drawings I did from Drawing Bootcamp (<---- such a ridiculously fun class that I miss super terribly). It hasn't been that long, but I'm looking at these again and I think I can do infinitely better now. Although I should probably remind myself that with these 5 week terms, we were busting out a bunch of drawings pretty quickly.
